RED DOORS STUDIO

Ancient Healing for Modern Times

Red Doors Studio is a center of calm situated in the heart of the up-and-coming area of Wong Chuk Hang on Hong Kong Island. It offers a number of modalities to bring balance, calm, and focus to one’s mind, body and spirit. We bring ancient, time-tested practices of deep relaxation using meditation gongs, walking meditation on labyrinths, and Kundalini yoga to the community. Red Doors serves as a platform for complementary practices to elevate energy.

GONG RELAXATION
Bathed in Surround-Sound

The sound of a meditation gong induces a state of spontaneous meditation and relaxation, which facilitates the movement of chi or prana (positive life force) throughout the body. (M. Benton) On a physical level, the vibrations eliminate tension, stimulate the circulation and glandular systems, and regenerate the parasympathetic nervous system. Listeners experience a sense of connectedness and peace. They are lulled from a Beta, or awake state, into a Theta, or lucid dream state; a state that allows our bodies to heal and rejuvenate. The sound waves gently clear blockages to restore inner harmony.

Other benefits include calming the mind and stopping internal dialogue; rebalancing the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies; and awakening higher states of consciousness that are conducive to healing and transformation. A gong bath lets your entire body relax, renew and rejuvenate. In turn, this leaves you feeling content, clear headed, energetic and optimistic.

Red Doors offers regularly scheduled new moon and full moon gong baths, gong training, sound events and all night gong pujas and private or small group sessions.

TESTIMONIALS

  • “I wanted to take the time to thank you for the space and teaching of the Gong. It was a transformative weekend for me, I am full of motivation and inspiration to continue my learning and passion for Gong healing. I have been practicing and spending time with my gong and can feel our bond towards each other every time we connect. Only now, after using what I learnt from you, and practicing am I starting to realize the power of the gong and impact the sound has on my health and well-being. May we all come together through love and healing”

  • “I enjoyed the gong bath the most –– it was such an ethereal experience that I don’t think I could replicate unless I went back. It relaxed me so much and made me feel so much better for the rest of that day even if I can’t have a gong bath experience everyday, Just being able to sit back and take a break has altered and decreased the stress levels in my life”

  • “The best gong experience I have ever had. Great studio! Feel so relaxed and amazed after Martha’s gong session! ”

  • "I have been to many gong healings yet everything changed when I received a gong healing at Martha’s Red Doors studio. This gong session was deeply therapeutic and infused with spiritual healing. I realised that Martha sets up a space and plays in a way where the Spirits lead the session to allow for shamanic journeying, healing and transformation. I also felt that the Spirit of the Gong called me into service. Fast forward a year later and I was back for gong training with Martha (I could not consider anyone else, though there’s lots of trainings available in Australia). I wanted to learn how to play the gong for healing vs performance and I received what I was after. The gong training was deeply transformational and has resulted in an ongoing relationship and respect for the Spirit of the Gong, the spirits of the room and the power of working with sacred intention and in sacred space. Highly recommended”

  • “I did not know what to expect when I signed up for this session but was wonderfully surprised. The studio is very well thought out and immaculately clean and very calming. The session was very well paced with enough “talk” at the beginning to explain all but not TMI.”
